Video: Kendra Wilkinson on Dr. Drew

Last night Dr. Drew talked to Kendra Wilkinson, who is currently busting her tail on this season of Dancing With The Stars. In this very personal interview, Kendra talks about her relationship with Hef, her past involving cutting, drugs, and stripping…. and a whole lot more.

Kendra Defends 'DWTS' Behavior: I'm a positive person

Kendra Wilkinson is very aware that she’s been getting a bad rap for being shown complaining on “Dancing with the Stars,” but she said that’s not really who she is.

“You only get so much time on TV and that’s all that people see of you,” Wilkinson told Access Hollywood following Tuesday’s show.

“Last week, I was in a bad mood more than a good mood so that is what all that people know of me is that week, you know, that’s who I am in that week. But I’m not that person,” Wilkinson added. “I’m a very happy person, so I just want to make sure that people know that that negative side only comes once a month.”
A perfect 10 for Kendra on 'Dancing'?

Wilkinson, in fact, blamed her time of the month for sassing back when judge Carrie Ann Inaba suggested she was afraid of elegance after her dance on last week’s show. She also had a couple of rough rehearsals with pro partner Louis van Amstel shown in rehearsal footage on the program, and another time she blamed a smoke machine for hindering her dance.

The former “Girl Next Door,” however, said she isn’t a negative force.

“I’m always a positive person, I’m always laughing, I’m always making fun of everything, you know,” she said. “I’m a happy person, so last week was just a little bit off for me. I was a little dizzy, I was a little sick. Now, this week, I feel like myself again so I’m ready to get out there and have some fun next week.”

Kendra Wilkinson Discusses her Patriotic Performance

Just call her the Yankee Doodle Comeback!

Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett redeemed herself on Dancing With the Stars Monday night (April 18) with an Uncle Sam-infused fox trot, but will the good times last?

You were really happy last night.
It was so much fun. We were just so happy. We couldn't have had a better song to comeback with. It's such an uplifting song and dance. There was no way we could be down this week.

When you told me last week you were going to be dancing to a song that you couldn't help but have fun with, I never thought it would be "Yankee Doodle!"
You know, we rehearsed all week but I think I did my best performance of the dance on the floor last night. I also got so much time with little Hank last week. That was really my injection. It was my cure for being happy again. I saw him a lot. I think that was the key for me to be happy dancing.

Did you feel a little bit like Wonder Woman in that outfit?
That was definitely the sexiest outfit so far. I felt so hot in it. You know that expression, you are what you eat? Well, I've learned you are what you wear, too. If I don't feel comfortable, I won't do a good job...I was too covered during the Viennese. It was too much black.

Were you a little jealous that Kirstie Alley got John Travolta to coach her?
No! That's John Travolta and Kirstie Alley. They're the A-Listers. It's awesome that she got him.

What would you do if he walked in on you and Louis practicing?
You know, I see everybody the same. I'd be like, "That's cool," and then just keep going.

Who would you want to get help from?
Shakira! I want her to be my coach. I want her to teach me some moves. Or maybe Beyoncé. One of those girls will do me good.

And what's up for next week?
We have to get past tonight but we don't know for sure yet. We got a little bit of a hint because they gave us our song. I can't say what it is, but it's a song I've always hated. It's the worst song I could ever imagine myself dancing to. We have zero say in what song we get, but we're fighting it. I think we're winning.

If you could dance to "Yankee Doodle," you can dance to anything.
No, no! That's like one of America's anthems. I was proud to dance to that. But this song they're giving us, I even hated growing up. It's from the '80s and it's like nails on a chalkboard for me. I can't get into it at all.

Dancing with the Stars, Week 5

Kendra Wilkinson Chosen for 1,000th Dance on ‘DWTS’: “I Was So Proud, So Happy”

As Dancing With the Stars heads into the midpoint of Season 12, there’s no denying last night’s milestone! Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett and Louis Van Amstel were selected to dance the show’s 1,000th dance as confetti exploded onto the dance floor!

Kendra told reporters, “Being the 1,000th time with Louis and dancing “Yankee Doodle Boy” on top of that, I was so proud, so happy. I went into the dance super excited and so proud. Almost to the point that it was goofy. I took it serious but had a great time also.”

This was a drastic change from last week which left Kendra in tears! Chalking it up to the tunes, she added that’s never danced to opera before. “The very sad song was a downer,” she noted. “I’m used to dancing with a style. So that was the mood of the night last week.”

Plus, it sounds like taking a break after the somber competition was just what this mom needed. “Last week we spent one whole day…we did our dance 15 times in a row, then the next day I came in and did the song great. So I came home and grabbed baby Hank and took him to the park. That’s what I needed.”

As for the mood last night and their scores of 22 out of 30, that can best be summed up by Carrie Ann Inaba’s comments: “This is the most confident that I’ve ever seen you. Whenever we are commenting we are always trying to help you, and look what it did. You’re a fighter! You’re a fighter. Most patriotic dance of the night.” Go, Kendra!

Video: Kendra Wilkinson Promises 'Fun' Foxtrot On 'Dancing With The Stars'

After last week's traditional yet slightly uneventful classical performances on "Dancing With the Stars," fans and castmembers alike are excited about what possibilities are ahead with tonight's (April 18) far more open-ended American Week.

MTV News was lucky enough to be invited to the official "DWTS" rehearsals studio Friday to get a sneak peek of Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel's routine. Despite having the lowest ranks from the judges last week — they scored 18 out of 30 points for their waltz — Wilkinson and Van Amstel made it through to another round of competition and are eager to start fresh with a brand-new, energetic routine.

"It's week five, we have foxtrot, and it's American Week," Van Amstel told us.

"American Week," Wilkinson echoed. "My week."

Cut to Wilkinson strapping herself into her dancing shoes and Van Amstel giving her a few quick stage directions before they got down to business rehearsing their foxtrot.

"There's no way I can't have fun with this dance on Monday night," Wilkinson said. "The song is amazing, everybody knows it," she promised. "Dancing to it you just get so happy. I'm excited about it."

Wilkinson went on to say that with this dance, she's able to put a lot more of herself into it, versus several of her prior routines.

"With ballroom dancing, you think very classy, sophisticated, the whole Cinderella [image], whatever, but this week is going to be fun," she said. "More Kendra, for sure."

Kendra Wilkinson: Carrie Ann Inaba 'Belittled and Embarrassed' Me

Elegance is in the eyes of the beholder according to Kendra Wilkinson, not in the eyes of Carrie Ann Inaba.

"We have our own definition," Wilkinson told reporters following the Dancing with the Stars elimination on Tuesday, after Inaba said she seemed to be "afraid of elegance" during her performance the night before. "Elegance is what [my husband] Hank [Baskett] sees, not what Carrie Ann sees. That's what I care about."

The reality star admits that right after Inaba's comment, she felt "like giving up."

"Another woman telling me about elegance eats away at my ego," she said. "I'm a huge Carrie Ann fan, and she's [usually] so sweet, but that one comment – I felt belittled at that moment and embarrassed."

Wilkinson makes it clear that she does take her time on the show seriously, but not too seriously.

"This is great, and a time of my life I will look back on, but it's not my life," she said. "My life is my family memories. We just bought a new home. That right there means the world to me."

"Why am I listening to people that I don't care about?" Wilkinson continued. "I'm out here to have a good time – to be Kendra and dance and shake my butt – not to be a professional dancer."

Kendra Invited to Hef's Wedding by Email

Maybe they're just not one for formalities over at the Playboy Mansion.

Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett, who complained to E! News not long ago that she hadn't received her invitation to Hugh Hefner's wedding to Crystal Harris yet, revealed tonight that her ex-beau got in touch right afterward and cleared things up.

She got her invitation, then? Well, not exactly...

"I hadn't gotten my invitation yet," the E! star said on The Tonight Show Thursday. "I was a little bit worried, so I put it out there into the universe—the media," she admitted. "You know, sometimes you have to use being a celebrity sometimes, get things out there and be like, 'Where's my invitation? Wink-wink.'"

"I actually got an email from Hef right after that," she added.

What do you know, Jay Leno had a copy of the email right there!

"Dear Kendra," it read. "We haven't sent any 'Save the Dates,' but if you can't make the planned wedding on June 18, we'll just change the date. Do you think I'd consider getting married without you being there?!

"Keep shaking your booty. I love you. See you soon. All best, Hef"

Awww.

"Yeah, of course," Kendra said when Jay asked if she'd be going.

"He's really, really happy about it," she had said earlier. "He's where he wants to be in life and I'm happy for him...I'm glad he's doing what he wants to do."

When asked if she thought she could win Dancing WIth the Stars at this point, however, she said...No!

"I did [enter to win it], but now you see the real competition, you see who I'm against. I really get a good feel for who's out there, and I'm like, 'Man, that Chelsea is amazing!' She is on fire!"

It's just like the judges told her: Confidence, Kendra, confidence!

Why Did Kendra Get Emotional on 'Dancing'?

Kendra explains why she got so emotional on 'Dancing with the Stars' after judge Carrie Ann Inaba's comments regarding her dance.

Dancing's Kendra: "The Mental Part Hurts More than the Physical"

After Kendra received the lowest score on Monday's episode of Dancing with the Stars, and being saved from elimination on Tuesday, she sat down with E!'s Marc Malkin to discuss what is in store for her future on this season of 'Dancing with the Stars.'

How you feeling today?
I'm good. I'm doing good.

So last night wasn't your best night but there's always next week.
I've come to realize I wasn't born a dancer. You know, it's a lot of pressure. Maybe a little too much pressure for me to handle. To be perfect in four days isn't my thing. So I'm just trying to have fun with it even if I'm not perfect. I'm trying to have a good time along the way, along the journey. But it's hard. I've never in my life put on heels and glided across a dancefloor. Maybe walking around a stripper pole a couple of times, but I wasn't doing splits or any of that. This is way more serious than I thought it was. Maybe I'm just taking it that way.

Yeah, I can't imagine Louis is berating you.

You know, I'm a very a very competitive person. I've always been competitive. It's in my blood to be competitive. Everybody I turn to is like, "You're too hard on yourself." I think people need to stop saying that to me. I'm not too hard. It's because I care. It's because I want to do good...One day I can have a perfect day of golf and have a beer afterwards to celebrate. But the next day I'll go out and golf and I won't hit a shot on the green and that will haunt me for the rest of the day.

But did you ever think just three weeks ago you'd be doing what you're doing on the dancefloor now?
No. I definitely thought it was going to be a lot easier than it is. I've come to realize it's a lot harder than it looked.

So how's that knee? We keep seeing you with an icepack on it.
Oh, my body is fine. I can take a hit. I'm not in pain. It's just very mental. The mental part hurts more than the physical.

What's it like seeing Hank standing up and cheering for you every week?
Hank is my biggest supporter. When the show ends, I run into his arms and I hold him and I don't want to let go. That's where I feel most beautiful, the most comfortable. At the end of the day, I'm doing this for him and my son. What matters to me is making my husband and son proud.

What's up for next week?
If I survive tonight, we have the fox trot. Our song is pretty interesting. I don't know how we couldn't have fun with this song.

Kendra's 'DWTS' Breakdown

Kendra gets upset after getting heat from the 'Dancing with the Stars' judges and her partner, Louis Van Amstel.

Dancing with the Stars, Week 4

After tying for second place last week with her sexy rumba, Kendra and Louis Van Amstel received the lowest scores of the night, with their Viennese Waltz. However, with the fan votes, Kendra remains in the game and will return next week to dance the Foxtrot.

Kendra: I Did Everything I Could Have Done

Sometimes you just have an off night. And that seemed to be the case for Kendra Wilkinson, who landed at the bottom of the leader board on 'Dancing with the Stars,' Monday night (April 11).

"The scores suck," the reality star said of earning just 18 points – the night's lowest score – for her Viennese waltz with partner Louis van Amstel. "That's the way it goes. I didn't do a perfect job and I got the scores I got, and that's the way it goes."

After judge Bruno Tonioli's highly animated critique, head judge Len Goodman reminded him, "These people are beginners, Bruno. Don't be cruel."

Kendra admitted to having mixed feelings about the routine. "Going into it I didn't feel comfortable but when the music started I did feel comfortable," she said. "I felt in place. I felt like I did everything I could have done."

So what went wrong? "I had three missteps," she says. "It sucks because I didn't mean to do it. It just happened. But I moved on from it and I finished it."

Kendra will face another elimination round tonight (April 12) at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

Kendra Dishes on DWTS Drama

Holly Madison: Kendra Wilkinson Will Do Better Than I Did on Dancing

Holly Madison's stint on Dancing with the Stars may have been short-lived, but she thinks her former Girls Next Door costar, Kendra Wilkinson, could go all the way to win the competition's coveted disco-ball trophy.

"She absolutely has a chance at winning," Madison 32, recently told PEOPLE. "She's a natural athlete and she's really competitive and she has a fan following, so I think she'll do really well and certainly better than I did."

Still, Madison says that no matter how Wilkinson fares, she should just enjoy herself.

"It's so much fun," Madison, 32, says about participating on the hit ABC show. "As soon as I heard Kendra was going to be on this season, I texted her and said, 'Try your hardest, but don't even worry about being competitive or how long you stay on the show.' "

The Las Vegas Peepshow dancer, who sat with Wilkinson's brother and hubby Hank Baskett during a recent DWTS taping, so far is impressed with Wilkinson's footwork on the dance floor.

Madison, who encourages the show's competitors to "have a blast," says her main advice is to live in the moment.

"You never know when you're going to go. It could happen for any reason," says Madison. "So just enjoy it from week to week."
